Demon's Background

Ravera Demonsaber was once a foot soldier during the second war. His assignment was to protect escaping refugees flee from the Legion's grasp. The objective was to stall the Legion's forces till the refugees were at a safe distance. each mission brought heavy casualties, and moral was low during the squads existance.
On one mission, the squad had to infiltrate deep within the Legion's hold to protect fleeing residents of the once glorious Ashara. All went according to plan untill an almost relentless barrage of infernals rained on the left regiment, demolishing their only protection from being over run.
As the demons slew through his commrads, Demonsaber found a source of dark energy droped by a legionair warlock. It touched his thoughts promising to deliver him from death. Demonsaber accepted the magic.
The next thing he know, Demonsaber wakes up in a medical ward with no other recollection of what had happend. After Demon was released from the Medical ward, he finds out that the war was over and that he had been discharged. He returns to his home town and to the life of a civilian.
Everything began looking up for Demon. He met a beautifull girl named Mirani, who he fell madly in love with. They were married and settled down in a humble cottage. Everything in Demon's life was great, but it was not to be.
As he was walking alone past the ruins of Ashara, he felt a sudden pain. The pain grew and if felt as if his whole body was ingulfed in flames. As he lay in a crumpled heep on the ground, he heard a familliar voice in his head say "I am still here..."
A sudden thirst for war quickly over whelmed him, a tourturus lust. He began to attack anything that cought his eye. Homes were torn apart, creatures and elfs alike lay slew on the ground in his wake. He destroyed every thing in the village, including his beloved wife Mirani.
The blood lust waned and when he saw what he had done, he vowed to sever the link to the Dark magic that corrupted his soul. He continues his search to this day...
